Competitions
The E-Week Student Competitions will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at the UAA Engineering and Industry Building (2900 Spirit Dr) from 10am-3pm, with support from the UAA College of Engineering and the professional organizations and companies listed below. This event is free and open to the public.
When: Saturday, February 22, 10 AM – 3 PM.
Where: University of Alaska Anchorage, Engineering and Industry Building (2900 Spirit Dr)
Who: K-12 students and their families. Parent or guardian MUST accompany minors.
How Much: FREE

Students are invited to compete in a variety of engineering focused competitions! Events include:
- Shake Table – sponsored by ASHRAE
- Egg Drop – sponsored by SWE
- Newspaper – sponsored by SPE
- Floatable Moatable – sponsored by SAME
- LEGO Long-O – sponsored by ITE
- Paper Airplane – sponsored by DOWL
- Marshmallow Tower – sponsored by ConocoPhillips
Equipment and supplies for the above activities will be provided for free at the event.

Winners
For each designated age group, the names and rankings of the top ten contestants will be posted to our website.
Due to low attendance in prior years, we are discontinuing the awards ceremony.
T-Shirts
The first few hundred participants to arrive will receive a free t-shirt. Please note that t-shirts are only intended for youth participants and event volunteers.
